UI / Front End Developer

Job summary:
The Front-End Web Developer will produce high-quality responsive web applications for our internal and external customers. The Developer will build new web applications around Angular, React, HTML5, CSS, and other front-end technologies. Essential Functions:

The Essential Functions Include:

1. Develop functional and appealing pages for web and mobile-based applications based on usability.
2. Implement responsive web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices and web browsers.
3. Use a combination of markup languages to write web pages.
4. Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines.
5. Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms.
6. Promote the usage of UI Best practices according to the industry standard.
7. Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well.
8. Monitor and rectify website performance issues during high traffic on the website.
9. All other duties, as assigned.
10. Should have excellent communication skills.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

• Must be a graduate or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field with at least four years of experience in building enterprise applications using Angular, Bootstrap and other frameworks, and other latest front-end technologies.
Competencies (As Demonstrated Through Experience, Training, and/or Testing):

• Expertise in Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
• Creative Thinker to produce new design ideas and concepts.
• Ability to work independently and with limited instructions.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Knowledgeable of the latest user interface trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Experience with graphic design and multimedia content would be a plus.
• Experience of working in agile/scrum development practices.
• Experience in web and portal security and authentication mechanisms including single sign on.
• Able to work independently and serve as an effective team player.
